Next TSC meeting

TILLOY Anne

Hi everybody,

Our next TSC meeting will be on March 25th.

For this public meeting, it would be great if we follow these items:

Release of powsybl-core (4.1.0) expected on April 4th, please refer to the release notes to know what the release will contain: Release v4.1.0 (expected date: 2021-04-07) · powsybl/powsybl-core (github.com)

Main features or bug fixes:

CGMES

Import of control areas (breaking change).

SV export of node/breaker networks (breaking change).

PSSE

New PSSE conversion.

Support of version 32.

Simulation

The simulation-api has been removed.

Sensitivity analysis

Expected for the release (and maybe not the release candidate as Sylvain is in holiday).

A new sensitivity factor called BusVoltagePerTargetV based on the new BusRef API.

The release candidate should be available on Maven Central this week. Please check your email from the Linux Foundation Energy lists.

Postponed subjects to next release:

A new security-analysis API (expected);

A new sensitivity-analysis API (postponed for the moment);

Roadmap

The purpose of this part is to update, after each TSC meeting, the roadmap: https://github.com/powsybl/.github/blob/master/ROADMAP.md

Open loadflow supports now sensitivity analysis (DC and AC), with some improvements needed for HVDC management. As explained in last TSC, we have concentrated our effort on refactoring and performances to be able to deal with complex network configurations. Call for help to test the next release!

IIDM C++ Patch release v1.3.2. The IIDM version 1.4 will be supported early April.

Metrix C++ code has been merged. No release for metrix-integration for the moment.

Dynawo Luma is working on updating the network + topological changes after Dynawo and DynaFlow calculations.

Time series The work is going to be presented in the technical discussion.

Balances-adjustment From a CGMES control area and net positions we are able to perform a balances adjustment on two merged networks.

Eurostag The conversion has been migrated to Powsybl organization, and plugged on Powsybl version 4.0.1. The quality level has improved but Mathieu needs help to improve the conversion of some equipments.

Core Note that we are also working on a CNE export from security analysis results and on a power factory importer ([WIP] PowerFactory import by geofjamg · Pull Request #1653 · powsybl/powsybl-core (github.com)).

Technical discussion

Benjamin Horvilleur and Arthur Michaud, from Artelys (Home - Artelys), will present us their work on the future time series sore. Their work is followed by Jon and Paul. I will send you the presentation as soon as possible.

If you have subjects, do not hesitate to send it to me.

Thanks for joining the TSC.

Anne
