Subject: [EXTERNAL] [microgrids] Haiku and next session
Caution: This email came from outside the company.
Hi all - Starting April 8th we are shifting our meetings to 5p PT to accommodate both Japan and very early morning India. Deva has indicated a strong desire to participate.
Next session we are doing a little exercise to share our year 2050 vision. The goal is to see if we can get more aligned with what we imagine.
1) Please write a haiku (5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables.
2) Contribute a "picture" of what you see.
I am attaching Lorenzo's example.

I get it. This is a problem for me as well. In general, by the time 5p comes around, I am less than coherent. However, as a group we decided to try it.

I would prefer something earlier as well.
My timezone calculator shows that 7 AM Pacific is 7:30 PM in Mumbai and 11 PM in Tokyo. Or an hour earlier would work for me as well.
Alternatively, we could rotate the meeting time to distribute the inconvenience.

Kotaro-san, you are very generous to consider that.
We did have a conversation about the later time, but clearly moving it was not as settled or fully agreed to as I understood. For several reasons then, I think we should keep this as-is - 3p Th PT, 7a JST.
I will revert the schedule. Apologies for the confusion.
Deva, I am sorry the round earth is so complicated with time zones. It’s a disappointment.
With regrets.

Deva, as a next step and to facilitate the group integrating you - I would encourage you to: 1) sign up for the mailing list; 2) introduce yourself to the group; 3) listen to the recordings; 4) reach out to the Hyphae TSC; 5) get on their mailing list; 6) get the code and literally start to work! All of this and MORE can be found on the LF Energy website and wiki.
We need to divide and conquer - meaning that you and the Sony team find a time and you just start to onboard. We can find another time. There is no need to hold back. Jump in!

We did have a conversation about the later time, but clearly moving it was not as settled or fully agreed to as I understood. Deva, I am sorry the round earth is so complicated with time zones. It’s a disappointment. Dear all, 11 pm is bit challenging to me but if this is the only slot, I will follow. I am attaching Lorenzo's example. l. shuli rose goodman phd. executive director, LF Energy a Linux Foundation project +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++
