Other folks - Any one else in the group aware of this information model? @Mike, maybe you can introduce yourself? I know the times for the meetings are not great for you, we would love to be able to include you more in the community. Definitely want Africa engaged. Hoping we can find a way for you to join us. All - Call for Proposals for the LF Energy Spring Summit. IS NOW OPEN! There are two "showings" one in European/NA time zones, the other in Asia/Aus. Hope folks will consider submitting. Hi Shuli,
I have some familiarity with the Weather aspect of the standard. I worked on a NIST project to implement the standard a few years ago.
Best regards, Don Donald F. Coffin Technical Manager

Shuli, please forgive my enthusiasm - South Africans ( descendant from the Dutch ) can be quite forward and rather blunt :-) 1) Africa needs Microgrids and MiniGrids. There is a growing understanding that future African grids may comprise of numerous integrated and aggregated MicroGrids ? THis image from a South African Research Group called the CSIR 2) @Don - Thanks for the feedback. Schneider for example suggest that look-ahead abilities are key to the optimal operation of MicroGrids - so the weather interface should be addressed ? If there is an interest in the ASHRAE FSGIM work we can invite the ASHRAE guys to provide an intro ? -
Steven
Bushby <steven.bushby@...> is from NIST and has been most helpful ? 3) Sematic Energy Tariff/Rate Data Models. There seems to be a small group from the BMS ( Building Management Systems ) side of things with an interest in how to best represent energy / water tariffs ? We must have MicroGrid data models ? - and if "price" is ( rightly?) going to drive MicroGrid Operation decision making we will need systems to interact automatically in realtime with external pricing data
